Did you know that there are a whole host of Invisalign braces to choose from? Many people have heard of the Invisalign brand, but are completely unaware of the different options available – Invisalign Full, Invisalign i7, Invisalign Lite and Invisalign Teen.
All types of Invisalign braces consist of a series of removable, virtually invisible, plastic aligners, which are custom made for your teeth exactly. The aligners are changed every two weeks, gradually moving your teeth towards a new, confident smile. You can also remove the aligners for drinking, eating and the occasional special event. It is also easier to keep your teeth healthy, as you can even remove the brace for flossing and brushing. Here we outline what the slight differences are between each of the Invisalign treatments.
Invisalign Full
The most well-known and original Invisalign brace is known as Invisalign Full. This treatment is most commonly used, as it can correct such a wide range of complaints. It may be necessary in most cases, to fit small attachments onto your teeth to help attain certain movements to straighten your teeth. Your orthodontist will be able to show you some examples before you start your treatment, and you will find that they are very discreet. The average treatment time with Invisalign Full takes between 12 and 18 months.
Invisalign Teen
Invisalign Teen is very similar to the well-known Invisalign Full, but has been developed specifically with teenagers in mind, with a number of special elements that have been designed to meet the needs of younger patients. These features consist of wear-indicators, which fade from a bright blue to a clear colour; to help ensure that you are wearing your Invisalign braces at the correct times. The design also allows for the eruption of new adult teeth – Invisalign can adapt to any life changes.
Invisalign i7
Invisalign i7 is the newest addition to the Invisalign treatment options, and offers a convenient and easy solution specially designed for minor tooth movement. You may have had orthodontic treatment in the past, but your teeth have moved over time, leaving you feeling self-conscious of your crooked smile again. If you require minor tooth correction, the results can be achieved in as little as three months!
Invisalign Lite
Your case may be too complex for Invisalign i7, so Invisalign Lite may be more suitable. It bridges the gap between Invisalign i7 and Invisalign full, and aims to treat simple to moderate cases in around 7 months.
