New Year New You!

It’s coming up to the new year and naturally, everyone is thinking about a fresh start and making beneficial changes to their lives!

The New Year can be daunting – you’re going to be another year older! If the thought of ageing is getting you down, facial aesthetics treatment might be the right way forward for you, renewing your confidence and making you look and feel young again.

Botox and dermal fillers are non-surgical procedures that are often used simultaneously in order to yield the best results.

Why go into the new year rejuvenated?

  • Your confidence will be up and you’ll kick-start the year with a fresh attitude to the way you look and feel.
  • Be more comfortable around others and less conscious about ageing.
  • Benefit from a non-surgical treatment that takes minutes to carry out.
  • No recovery time involved.

Botox

Botox has been used by doctors for more than 20 years and is used regularly in other areas of medicine. The treatment works by relaxing the muscles which cause wrinkles due to repeated movement. Botox is administered via a small needle which causes minimal discomfort. Treatment takes between 15-20 minutes and may cause some mild swelling around the area in question though this usually subsides within 1 or 2 hours.

Areas that can be targeted by Botox are:

  • Frown lines between the eyes.
  • Crow’s feet.
  • Wrinkles running from the nose to the mouth (smile lines).
  • Lines on the forehead.

Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers can be used to relax folds, wrinkles and contour lines. Here at Cliftonville we use the most common types of dermal filler which are either hyaluronic or collagen-based.

Dermal fillers are used to fill age lines that occur on the upper and lower facial regions. They can also be used to enhance lip volume and improve the shape of your mouth.

Dermal fillers takes roughly 30-40 minutes to carry out, though this depends on the number of areas being treated.
