The onset of ageing can be overwhelming and leave you lacking in confidence. Here at Cliftonville we have a natural solution to keeping signs of ageing at bay. Lip fillers are highly effective in restoring volume and shape to your lips and affect your whole facial aesthetic.
Lip fillers are a temporary treatment
The effects of lip fillers last around 6-12 months depending on how often you have treatment. Regular treatment will maximise the length of time treatment lasts.
Lip fillers should only ever be performed by an experienced medical professional
Only a medical professional such as a dentist or a doctor can perform lip fillers treatment (and indeed dermal fillers and Botox treatment) safely. However, there are many high street beauty therapists and individuals who offer fillers treatment with no medical training or awareness of the dangers, putting patients at risk of irrevocable damage to their skin.
Lip fillers at Cliftonville Dental do not follow a ‘one size fits all’ philosophy
Here at Cliftonville, we talk through the treatment with you beforehand to ascertain which areas of your lips you would like the filler to be applied to and administer the optimum amount of filler to achieve the look you desire. We understand that each patient is different and your treatment will be tailored to you.
The results will look natural
Lip fillers give a natural aesthetic that is in-keeping with your facial structure and other facial features. We take factors such as your hair, eye, skin colour and smile into account when discussing your expectations of treatment beforehand.
Natural solution to ageing
Lip fillers are made up of hyaluronic acid which is a naturally-occurring substance in the body. When we are young, our lips and skin have a high level of hyaluronic acid which is what keeps the skin firm and wrinkle-free. This begins to deplete around our mid-twenties/early thirties as signs of ageing start to show.
Slight bruising and swelling is normal
Mild bruising for a couple of days after the procedure is normal though not everyone will experience this. It can take up to 1-2 weeks for swelling to reduce completely in extreme cases but normally it disappears a couple of days afterwards.
