How Invisalign works
Unlike traditional ‘train-track’ braces, Invisalign clear braces are removable. We custom-make a series of aligner sets for you which are replaced every two or three weeks, as your teeth move closer and closer to their desired new position. It’s important that you wear the aligners consistently so they can work effectively – the fact that they are removable is highly convenient when you need to brush your teeth, but you shouldn’t be tempted to take them out for lengthy periods at other times.
The number of sets of aligners you’ll need depends on how much work needs to be done to arrive at a solution you’ll be delighted with. Here at Cliftonville, we understand that no two patients are alike! Once your treatment is finished you’ll need to use a removable retainer to make sure your teeth stay in the correct position.
